All my life I’ve struggled with the notion that I’m not good enough. I’d say this is a pretty standard sentiment as a young woman growing up in today’s world, but for me, it became an all-consuming identity, one that stuck with me well into adulthood. I grew up being a people pleaser, always overly concerned about others’ perception of me, but never stopping to take stock of myself, or my accomplishments, or considering how those things made me feel about me.
